Any one have any experience shipping vehicles, specifically motorcycles? I've got a bike that I bought in NC and need to get it to CO. It's a project bike, so I'm trying to do it as cheaply as possible and since it's all going to get repainted, I'm not all that worried about it getting scuffed up.

I don't know about the price of shipping, but I do know it's more than the price of gas and a sleeping bag.

Amtrak has trains that let you bring your vehicle along for the ride.

If it is that old 350 in the pics I concur. Get your butt out to NC and ride it back (perfect season coming up), ship it with a carrier (more expensive), or pay someone to ride it out. SOMETIMES you can find a moving company that happens to have room and is looking to fill it. I use uship.com when I have something I don't want to or can't move myself

unfortunately, the bike isn't in running condition, and I don't have the time off to take that trip even if it was.

I've never used them for a non-move, but Mayflower advertise s a stand-alone automobile shipping service.
